Dauercamper & Saisonplatz

Seasonal and long-stay campers, managed like every other pitch

In Grondia a seasonal contract is a bookable unit type in its own right — with its own rate, minimum stay and arrival-day rules — sitting on the same pitch map and arrivals board as your transient guests.

A seasonal contract is its own bookable unit type

Grondia treats long-stay and seasonal pitches as a distinct bookable unit type, next to tourers, motorhomes, cabins, pods and glamping tents. Each type carries its own rates, its own minimum stay and its own arrival-day rules, so a Saisonplatz is never priced or booked like a two-night tourer.

Seasonal pricing and those booking rules are enforced at the point of booking, on the interactive pitch map. The guest — or your reception — picks the exact pitch, and atomic locking means the same Dauercamper pitch can never be double-sold.

One guest profile, one running folio

Every Dauercamper is one guest profile with one running folio. The pitch fee, visitor tax, and anything they buy from the shop, bar, restaurant or rentals all post to that single folio and settle together at check-out — no loose slips of paper for the regular who has been on the same pitch for years.

Because the profile persists, a returning seasonal comes back with their history intact rather than as a fresh record every spring.

Seasonals and passing guests on one board

Long-stay pitches live on the same live arrivals and departures board and the same interactive pitch map as your transient bookings, so your team sees the whole site — occupied, seasonal and free — in one view. One-tap check-in and per-pitch housekeeping status work the same for a seasonal arrival as for an overnight tourer.

Role-based access keeps reception, cleaning and management each to what they need, whether they are handling a walk-in or a Dauercamper renewal.

Billing the season without a spreadsheet

Each seasonal contract is invoiced as a compliant Swiss QR-Bill. Its structured QR-IBAN reference self-reconciles: when the Dauercamper pays, the money lands already matched to their folio, with no line-by-line reconciliation.

Collect the season fee by LSV / direct debit or bank transfer, and take a deposit or full pre-payment where you want one. There is no per-booking commission on any of it, and every payment, tax line, deposit and refund lands in a DATEV-friendly, VAT-aware export for your Treuhänder.

Visitor tax and Swiss hosting

Long-stay guests still owe Kurtaxe. The Visitor Tax Module settles per-commune visitor tax by guest type, with the exemptions, caps and period settlement your Gemeinde expects — useful when a seasonal household is taxed differently from an overnight guest. HESTA overnight statistics are compiled from your check-ins and filed on schedule with an audit trail.

All of it is hosted exclusively in ISO 27001-certified Swiss data centres, with nothing replicated abroad, guest data retained per the nDSG and every access logged.

Frequently asked questions

Can I manage Dauercamper and short-stay guests in the same system?
Yes. Long-stay and seasonal contracts are one of Grondia’s bookable unit types, sitting on the same interactive pitch map and arrivals board as your tourers, motorhomes, cabins, pods and glamping tents. Your team works one view for the whole site.
Does each seasonal pitch have its own rate and rules?
Yes. Every unit type — including seasonal and long-stay — carries its own rates, minimum stays and arrival-day rules, and seasonal pricing and those rules are enforced at the point of booking.
How do I collect a season fee?
Invoice it as a compliant Swiss QR-Bill and collect by LSV / direct debit or bank transfer, with a deposit or full pre-payment if you want one. The QR-IBAN reference self-reconciles, so the payment lands already matched to the seasonal’s folio. There is no per-booking commission.
What happens to everything a seasonal buys on site?
It goes to one running folio. Pitch fee, visitor tax and any shop, bar, restaurant or rental charges post to the same folio and settle together, so a long-stay guest never accumulates loose paper slips.
Are seasonal guests still counted for HESTA and Kurtaxe?
Yes. HESTA overnight statistics are compiled from your check-ins, and the Visitor Tax Module settles per-commune Kurtaxe by guest type with exemptions, caps and period settlement. Both are add-ons and included from the Professional plan up — including the case where a seasonal household is taxed differently from an overnight guest.
