This Cookie Policy explains how CampOne GmbH, trading as Grondia (“Grondia”, “we”), uses cookies and similar technologies on grondia.com. It adds to our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include your browser’s local storage and session storage, and scripts that send information about your visit to a server. Some are needed for the website to work. Others are only used if you agree, or, where the law allows it, unless you object.

2. Your choice

Whether we ask for your consent depends on where you are, not on the market or language version of the page you read. Our hosting provider derives your country from your IP address, and we keep only the country in your browser for as long as the tab is open (grondia-geo, see section 4).

  • EU/EEA, United Kingdom, USA, Canada, and unknown locations: if you visit from one of these places, or if we cannot determine your location, analytics and advertising run only after you allow them in our banner.
  • Pages for these markets: if the page you open belongs to a market where we ask for consent, we ask you wherever you are.
  • Switzerland and other countries: analytics runs unless you object in “Cookie settings”. Advertising runs only with your consent, in every country.

In the banner you can allow all categories, save a selection, or reject everything that is not necessary. “Allow all” and “Reject all” are equally prominent, and rejecting is as easy as allowing.

You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop the related processing and delete the related cookies that we can delete.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of advertising, whatever you chose before.

3. Categories

Necessary. Needed to deliver the website you asked for: your market and language, your cookie choice, your country so that the right consent rules apply, a dismissed announcement, and, if you take part in the camper referral programme, your login. These cannot be switched off. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the consent exemption for storage that is strictly necessary for a service you requested.

Analytics. Umami and Ahrefs Web Analytics count visits without storing anything on your device. They send the page address, the referring page and technical information about your browser and device (for example browser type, operating system, screen size and language) to the measurement server, which derives your country from your IP address. Umami does not store your IP address. Google Analytics 4 stores cookies to recognise repeat visits and to produce statistics. All three run under the rules in section 2: with your consent in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada and where we cannot determine your location; in Switzerland and other countries unless you object.

Advertising. Google Ads measures which advertisement brought you to us and lets Google show you relevant advertising. We also store the advertisement’s click identifier and campaign parameters in our own cookie so that a later demo request can be linked to the advertisement. Used only with your consent, in every country. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps advertising off.

5. Who receives data

Google Ireland Limited (with Google LLC, USA) for Google Analytics and Google Ads; Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore, for Ahrefs Web Analytics. Umami is operated by Grondia itself. Our hosting provider, Vercel, derives your country from your IP address. Section 6 of our Privacy Policy explains transfers outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA.

6. Browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the website may not work as intended, for example your language choice.

7. Changes

We update this policy when we add or remove a technology. If we add a category that needs consent, we ask you again.
