eVisitor (Croatia)

eVisitor is the Croatian national system in which every accommodation provider registers its guests, and from which the tourist-tax base and the guest-night statistics are taken.

eVisitor is the information system of the Croatian tourist boards (Hrvatska turistička zajednica). Every accommodation provider in Croatia, campsites included, registers each guest there: the check-in within 24 hours of arrival and the check-out within 24 hours of departure, under the Tourist Tax Act (Zakon o turističkoj pristojbi). The registration carries the guest’s identity document, citizenship, dates of stay and tourist-tax category. eVisitor is more than a register: the tourist-tax base comes from it, and the national statistics office takes the guest-night statistics out of it, so a Croatian campsite files no separate statistics return. Providers can enter guests by hand in the eVisitor web application or connect their software through the official eVisitor interface. Grondia does the latter: it registers, updates and checks out each guest from the booking and the check-in, and shows every eVisitor message at reception.
