Booking Experts alternative

For holiday-park groups, or for your campsite.

Booking Experts is a serious Dutch platform for holiday parks, chains and multi-park groups — owner portals, BI, a CMS, the lot. Grondia is built for independent campsites in Switzerland and the DACH region. If you run twelve parks and settle with home owners, read this and then go talk to them.

Who Booking Experts is for

Booking Experts, from Enschede in the Netherlands, is a cloud reservation system and PMS built for the hospitality sector — holiday parks, campsites, resorts, vacation rentals and hotels — with an explicit multipark product for chains and groups running multiple independent brands. Its public pages describe a PMS, channel management, a booking engine, a drag-and-drop Planboard, an Owner Portal for holiday-home owner settlement and messaging, an App Store of integrations, BI, and the BEX CMS website builder with multilingual support. The interface is offered in English, German, French and Dutch.

The centre of gravity is clear from the product itself: owner settlement, multipark, BI across a portfolio. Those are the problems of a group with holiday homes and several sites — real, difficult problems that Grondia does not solve. If that is your operation, Booking Experts is a genuinely strong candidate and this page is not going to talk you out of it.

Grondia is built for the other shape: an independent campsite, or a small group of them, in Switzerland and the DACH region. One site, mixed inventory, touring guests who turn up without a reservation, and a stack of country-specific paperwork — HESTA, Kurtaxe, the Meldeschein — that has to be filed whether or not there is anyone in the office. That is a different product, not a smaller one.

Our side of it

What Grondia is built for

01

Sized for an independent site

No owner-settlement module to configure around, no multipark hierarchy to model. One site, mixed inventory, touring guests, and the paperwork that follows them.

02

Swiss hosting, Swiss company, Swiss law

Databases, backups and files in Swiss data centres; CampOne GmbH under Swiss jurisdiction and the revised Federal Act on Data Protection.

03

HESTA, Kurtaxe and the Meldeschein are built in

Generated from the guest data captured at booking and check-in — the work that has to happen every month regardless of how big you are.

04

Italian and French, for the whole country

German, French, Italian and English. We run French- and Italian-default campsite sites in production.

05

Published price, published timeline

From CHF 150 per month billed yearly plus a one-time onboarding fee; operators are typically live in about two weeks with migration and training included.

FAQ

Common questions

We run several parks with holiday-home owners. Should we use Grondia?
Probably not, and we would rather say that now. Owner settlement and multipark portfolio management are real problems that Booking Experts has built for and we have not. If that is your operation, go and take their demo. Come back to us if you are an independent campsite or a small group of them.
Where does Booking Experts host data?
Their public pages do not state it, so ask them — and ask in writing. For our part: Grondia is hosted exclusively in Swiss data centres, and CampOne GmbH is a Swiss company answering to Swiss jurisdiction. Any vendor should be able to give you a straight answer to that question, us included.
Does Booking Experts handle Swiss reporting?
Not documented publicly, which is not the same as absent — ask them, and ask for a demo using your own last HESTA return. In Grondia, HESTA, Kurtaxe and the Meldeschein are generated from data captured at booking and check-in.
What does Booking Experts cost?
They do not publish pricing — it is request-a-demo or contact-sales. We are not going to guess at a competitor’s price. Grondia’s is on the pricing page: from CHF 150 per month billed yearly, plus a one-time onboarding fee.
