The booking widget is already in your plan
Every Grondia plan includes a website builder with an embedded booking widget. You don’t buy direct booking as an extra — it is the default. Put the widget on the site you already have or on a fast campsite site built in Grondia, and guests see live availability and book the exact pitch they want on an interactive pitch map.
Because the widget runs on Grondia’s real-time engine, the availability a guest sees is the truth: atomic locking means two people can never book the same pitch for the same nights.
No per-booking commission — the maths is simple
Grondia charges no per-booking commission. A direct booking for CHF 400 is CHF 400 in your account, not CHF 400 minus a channel’s cut. You pay a flat monthly plan — in Switzerland from CHF 150/month billed yearly, in Germany a tailored quote on request — and every direct booking you win after that costs you nothing extra.
That is the whole argument for steering guests to book direct: the more of your bookings that come through your own widget instead of an OTA, the more of each booking you keep.
Paid at booking, reconciled by itself
Guests pay online the moment they book — TWINT, Visa, Mastercard or PostFinance — with a deposit or full pre-payment, so a direct booking is confirmed and paid, not a hopeful email.
Every invoice is a compliant Swiss QR-Bill carrying a structured QR-IBAN reference, so a payment lands already matched to the right folio — no line-by-line reconciliation at month end. Card data is tokenised by a PCI DSS Level 1 provider and never touches Grondia’s servers.
Keep the guest relationship
When a guest books through an OTA, the intermediary sits between you and the guest. When they book direct, nobody does: you hold their contact details, one guest profile and one running folio for pitch, tax, shop and rentals, settled once at check-out.
That direct relationship is yours to keep — the same guest profile, guest portal and digital guest card carry from one stay to the next, so a returning seasonal or repeat tourer is already known to your system.
Reduce your OTA dependence deliberately
Direct-first doesn’t mean OTA-never. If you still want the reach, the optional Channel Manager add-on keeps Booking.com, Google Hotels and other OTAs on the same shared availability — but every booking it doesn’t bring is a booking with no commission attached.
Grondia’s analytics show the split: occupancy by pitch type and week, a RevPAR-style revenue-per-pitch figure and year-on-year pacing, so you can watch your direct share grow instead of guessing at it.
