Activities & rentals

Hire out bikes, boats and e-bikes with confidence — time-slot booking, deposits held and waivers signed.

A rentals and activities desk built into the till — hire bikes, e-bikes, SUPs and boats by the hour or the day, book time slots so nothing is double-booked, hold a deposit against each item, and capture the signed waiver before it leaves the rack.

Time-slot booking

Every bike, board and boat carries its own availability, so a ten-o’clock e-bike can’t go out twice — guests and reception book slots by the hour or day.

Deposits held & released

Take a refundable deposit on Girocard or card when the kit goes out and release it automatically on return — or keep part of it if something comes back broken.

Waivers signed before hire

Capture a signed waiver at the counter or on the guest’s phone, filed against the hire, so nothing leaves the rack without the paperwork done.

Rental catalogue & availability

List every rentable item — bikes, e-bikes, SUPs, kayaks, trailers — with its own stock, hourly and daily rate, and a live calendar of what is out and what is back.

Deposits on Girocard or card

Hold a deposit against each hire and release, reduce or keep it on return — all posted to the guest’s folio alongside the rental fee.

Digital waivers & IDs

Collect a signed waiver and, where you need it, an ID check before an item leaves — filed against the hire and the guest for as long as you must keep it.

Returns, late fees & damage

Check kit back in with a tap, apply an automatic late fee past the slot, and log damage to the item so its history follows it, not your memory.

A boathouse that never double-books

Two SUPs, four e-bikes and a kayak, and everyone wants them at ten on a Saturday. Because each item has its own availability, reception books a slot against live stock and nothing goes out twice. The deposit is taken on Girocard, the waiver signed on the guest’s phone, and the whole hire hangs on the guest’s folio — not on a clipboard by the water.

The deposit that gives itself back

When the e-bike goes out, a refundable deposit is held against the guest’s folio. Bring it back on time and undamaged and the deposit releases on its own; come back late and an automatic fee applies; come back with a buckled wheel and you keep part of it and log the damage to the item. No cash box of deposits, no argument at the rack.

  • Refundable deposit held on hire, released on return
  • Automatic late fee past the booked slot
  • Damage logged to the item’s own history

FAQ

Activities & rentals, answered

What German operators ask us most about activities & rentals.

What can I hire out through activities & rentals?

Anything on your racks or in your boathouse — bikes, e-bikes, SUPs, kayaks, canoes, trailers, even guided activities and day tickets. Each item has its own stock, hourly and daily rate, deposit and availability, and books against live stock so it can never go out twice.

How does time-slot booking stop double-bookings?

Every rentable item carries its own availability calendar. When reception or a guest books a slot — by the hour or the day — that item is held for that window, so the same ten-o’clock e-bike can’t be promised to two people. It works the same way the pitch booking engine does.

How are deposits handled?

You set a refundable deposit per item, taken on Girocard or card and held against the guest’s folio when the kit goes out. On return it releases automatically; if something comes back late or damaged you can keep part or all of it and the reason is logged.

Can I capture a signed waiver or an ID?

Yes. A rental waiver can be signed at the counter or on the guest’s phone and is stored against the hire, and where you need it you can require an ID check before an item leaves. Both are retained against the hire and the guest for as long as you must keep them.

Do rental charges go on the guest’s folio?

Yes. Rental fees, deposits, late fees and damage charges all post to the same running folio as the pitch, the shop and tourist tax, so a week of hire settles once at check-out — reconciled back to the till, never left on a clipboard.
