Guide mirate sulle domande che i gestori di campeggi si pongono davvero.

• Campsite software built for how Switzerland actually works. Most campground software is built for a market that has no HESTA return, no cantonal Meldeschein, no per-commune Kurtaxe and no QR-Bill. Grondia starts from those obligations rather than bolting them on, and keeps the guest database, its backups and files in Swiss data centres.
• Ask your software vendor where your guests’ data physically is.It is a simple question, and it is remarkably hard to get a straight answer to. For the guest database, Grondia’s answer is one word: Switzerland. Here is exactly what that means: the data centres, the encryption, the access model, and how long records are kept.
• The shop, the kiosk and the bar all count as tills.German law requires every electronic cash register to use a certified TSE. On a campsite that is not one till: it is the shop, the kiosk, the restaurant, the bar and reception. This page explains what the rule asks of you. For the record: Grondia’s point of sale does not sign sales with a TSE today. TSE fiscalisation for Germany is in preparation and available on request.
• An honest answer for Austrian campsites. The easy thing would be to write a page implying Grondia handles Ortstaxe and Meldezettel. It does not. Not yet. Here is what genuinely works for an Austrian site today, what is Swiss-specific, and how to decide whether that adds up for you.
• The tourist tax, worked out from the booking.Counting nights off a spreadsheet at period end is a job nobody chose. It exists because the guest data and the tax calculation live in different places. In Grondia the tourist tax is calculated per stay from the booking itself, so the figure on the guest’s bill and the figure in your report are the same number. Here is what that covers today, and what it does not.
• Sell every pitch from your own site, and never sell one twice.A booking system has two jobs: turn a visitor into a paid reservation without handing them to someone else, and make it structurally impossible to promise the same lakeside pitch to two families. Most systems do one of those.
• Your guests speak French. So should the software they touch.A campsite in Vaud, Valais, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Genève or the Jura serves guests who expect to be met in French. And most camping software in this market was built German-first, with French as an afterthought if at all.
• One system for your whole campsite, built and hosted in SwitzerlandGrondia runs booking, the front desk, your shop till, guest registration and billing in a single platform. For a German site that means a POS that books every sale onto the guest folio (TSE fiscalisation for Germany is in preparation and available on request), a DATEV export your Steuerberater can actually use, and a guest database that runs, with its backups, in Swiss data centres. And you never pay a commission on a booking.
• Campsite software compared 2026: what actually mattersCompare campsite software and you find vendor pages, forum threads and little that is concrete. This guide sorts it out: which functions a site really needs in 2026, the ten questions to put to every vendor, who actually sells in the German-speaking market, and why “free” is almost always the more expensive option. It ends with Grondia’s answers to the same ten questions, so you can check them directly.
• A campsite till on the guest folio, with an honest TSE statusGrondia’s POS runs your camp shop, restaurant and activities, and books every sale straight onto the guest’s pitch folio. For a German site, TSE fiscalisation is in preparation and available on request: the till does not sign sales with a TSE today. At month end everything exports as a DATEV file. One till, one folio, one clean set of records.
• The registration is signed before the guest reaches the barrierWith Grondia, guests fill in and sign their registration form digitally before they arrive, so there is no paper Meldeschein passed across the desk and no clipboard at check-in. One record, captured once, kept for exactly as long as the law requires.
• Channel Manager for your campsite: your channels, no double-bookingsList your pitches on the portals you choose and keep them on the same live availability as your own booking page. Sell a pitch anywhere and it disappears everywhere: the same atomic lock that prevents double-bookings on your own site guards every channel.
• Every direct booking, commission-freeGrondia puts a real-time booking widget on your own website (included in every plan), so guests book their exact pitch straight with you. There is no per-booking commission on any of those bookings, and the guest relationship stays yours from the first click.
• Grondia is not free, and that is exactly the pointThere is no free tier here, and we will not pretend otherwise. What there is: published, fair pricing and no per-booking commission, so unlike the "free" tools, we never take a cut of the bookings you worked to win.
• Move to Grondia without losing a booking or a recordOnboarding takes about two weeks: we import the data from your current system, configure Grondia for your pitches and rules, and train your team. No IT knowledge required, and if you ever leave, you get a 90-day export window to take your data with you.
• Guests arrive already checked inWith Grondia’s online check-in, guests complete and digitally sign their registration before they reach the barrier, so arrival day is a quick greeting and a guest card, not a queue at reception.
• A campsite website that takes real bookings on day oneGrondia includes a website builder with an embedded booking widget in every plan, so the site you publish and the engine that sells your pitches are the same product, not a page bolted onto a plugin. No IT knowledge required.
• Books that close themselvesEvery payment your campsite takes arrives already carrying its tax line and already matched to the right booking. At month end there is one export for your Treuhänder, not an evening of re-keying receipts into a second system.
• Your books have to survive ten years, and prove nobody touched them. The GeBüV (Switzerland’s ordinance on keeping and retaining business records) asks that your books stay complete, unaltered and available for ten years. Those duties sit with you and your Treuhänder, not with a vendor. What Grondia gives you is the substance behind the principles: a change log that cannot be edited, records kept as long as the law requires, Swiss hosting and an audit-ready export. We explain GeBüV; we do not sell a certificate.
• Keep your RKSV till. Let Grondia run everything else. The practical split for an Austrian campsite: your Registrierkasse keeps the counter (it signs the cash transaction and issues the Beleg the way Austrian law requires), and Grondia runs the booking, the pitch map, the front desk, self-check-in, the payments and the website. That is the same division most sites already run, and it means you can modernise the ninety percent of the operation that is booking and guest experience without touching the till. Ask us where RKSV fiscalisation stands against your go-live date.
• Choosing campsite management software: the guide for 2026Campsite software is chosen for five to ten years, in the middle of winter, usually with a season bearing down. This guide is for the operator of a campsite, a residential park or a motorhome stopover who wants to compare offers on concrete criteria: what management software has to cover today, a checklist you can put to any vendor, the French-language market named plainly, and what “free” actually means. Grondia is a vendor, and we say so whenever we talk about ourselves.
• A campsite till that knows your pitchesA campsite till is not a bakery till. It has to know who is on pitch 42, put their two coffees and bike hire on their account, take the day visitor’s card on the terminal, hold several VAT rates and close the day cleanly. Grondia’s POS is part of the same system as the planning grid and reception: one sale, one guest account, one close.
